Sauteed rainbow chard

  • Chard
  • Olive Oil
  • Garlic
  • Onion
  • Salt and pepper
  • Thyme
  • Nutmeg
  • Balsamic vinegar


  1. Clean and chop the chard, separating the stems from the leaves. Chop onion and garlic.
  2. Heat up oil, and add the onion, garlic, and chard stems to the pan. Fry gently until onions are soft and starting to brown. Add salt and pepper, thyme, and grated nutmeg.
  3. Add leaves and 2 tablespoons of water, cover and let wilt.
  4. When the leaves are completely wilted, turn off the heat and finish with a drizzle of balsamic.
